The course is targeted to PhD students in the beginning phase of their
doctoral program, or masters students in their final semester.
Preference will be given to student with little prior experience in
observational astronomy, but with future career plans in this field.
Funding is restricted to students from the Nordic-Baltic region (including
northwestern Russia, see below).
Ask a university teacher/supervisor familiar with your work to write
a short recommendation letter for your participation at the school. The
letter should be sent to the school (see below).
The deadline for applications was 31st of January 2003
The selected participants from the Nordic-Baltic region will be
supported. This summer school is sponsored by
NorFA .
In addition to the organization committee
there is a group of national contacts
that
can provide further information about the course and help in the application
procedure.
