Course description

In this course you will study the theory of how stars and planets form, from interstellar gas to main sequence stars with planetary systems. In particular, you will study magneto gravitational collapse, early nuclear burning, accretion discs, stellar winds, mass loss, jets and planetary formation models. The course also covers the observations that are critical to our understanding of the early stages of stellar evolution, young stellar systems and extrasolar planets.
